3 tips to help you travel

The world becomes bigger when you take the time to see it.

My first international trip, outside of the USA was to Cancun, Mexico. My close friends and I went and absolutely loved it. We danced hard, ate a lot and enjoyed endless water sports. It was the trip that changed my life. Visiting Mexico taught me the importance of travel and how learning diversity shapes how you view the world.

We took that trip at age 21, unlike most young adults, we came from urban environments with working class upbringings thus travel wasn’t a necessity during early childhood or as teens.

Well, since that first international trip, I haven’t stopped traveling both domestically and internationally. It’s no secret that in life it important, you make what you love, a priority.

Travel is a priority and I love it.

PICK A PLACE
Although it seems simple, it’s actually what most non-travelers struggle with, picking the choice to visit. I cannot tell you how many people that stifles their travel by not choosing a destination. Some people get so overwhelmed that they will end up not even going anywhere. Don’t allow this to be you, it’s simple to write down a small list and starting moving. Make the first few trips short and give travel a try, you won’t regret it.

PAY THE MONEY
STOP IT, you CAN afford it. Think of all the junk that you pay for which you never use. How many times have you had takeout or ordered lunch and that thing online. Let’s not get stated on the gym memberships that you never utilize. Create a budget and find a place within your price range. Now, I’ll admit to going on trips in my younger days that I couldn’t afford. So, I beg you not to be the old me, don’t break the bank.

DITCH YOUR NON-Travel FRIENDS
Yes. How many times have your friends talked you out of traveling or failed to pay for the trip! I’ll bet my first born son that it’s too many times to count. Stop waiting for other people. Actually, my worse trips have been with my closer friends. Sometimes you needs others to help you get moving. Join a travel group or go solo. There are so many ways to travel safely and freely.

Simply book it and go. Pack your travel bag and leave. Start creating the life-long memories that your grandchildren will want to hear about, someday.
